Brightly Notes started at our own kitchen table, with three kids, three classrooms, and a wish for updates that actually felt like our children's days.
We're the parents of three. Between the three of them we've done the drop-off shuffle at preschools, daycares, and with nannies, and we've refreshed our phones at lunch hoping for a photo, a sentence, anything about how the day was going.
What we usually got was a blurry group text, a paper folder at pickup, or nothing at all. Not because the teachers and caregivers didn't care, they cared enormously, but because sharing well was genuinely hard. Stitching photos together, writing it up, emailing giant attachments: it ate the few quiet minutes they had.
So we set out to build the tool we wished our kids' teachers and caregivers had. Something so fast and intuitive that a beautiful, personal update could go out in the time it takes to pack a backpack, and something families would be proud to keep.
